Easter Bunny Raffle & Sponsored Bunny Hops 2018

Just before Easter weekend we held a raffle on reception to win a huge pink bunny! This raised £220 so thank you to everyone who bought a ticket. The lucky winner was Chloe Grove. All of our recreational and advanced gymnasts also took part in a sponsored bunny hop to collectively perform as many bunny jumps as possible. This raised a huge £1,739 including gift aid to go towards the building fund so thanks to everyone who sponsored!

Regional (County) Grades Competition Success

A fantastic weekend in Wigan for all of our Womens Artistic Squad Level 6 and level 5 gymnasts. All girls passed their grades with distinction or commendation. Olivia Wallace and Andrea Castinera Mosquera finished in the top 5 and qualified to represent Lancashire in the Regional Finals claiming team Silver medals. Great result for the squad!

2018 Artistic British Gymnastics Championships

MAG Senior Competition

Frank Baines is the new 2018 senior men’s floor champion! Frank scored a fabulous 14.800 at the British Championship, in Liverpool, this weekend. He also took home a silver medal for his Parallel Bars performance, with Dan just missing out on the podium; placing 4th. However, Dan did claim a bronze in the All-around competition, where Frank narrowly missed out this time (placing 4th).

Mens Masters Competition

The final day of the Championships saw the Men’s Masters competitions. This includes the top eight scorers from the previous days competition across the under 16, under 18 and senior categories. The competition is a great chance for some of the junior gymnasts to challenge some of the more experienced veterans. The boys scored 3 Masters medals between them; with Dan achieving bronze on Rings. On Parallel bars the boys placed 2nd & 3rd, with Dan taking the silver and Frank taking home the Bronze.
